It is first performance of Partha Ji at Sawai Gandharva. Shrinivas Joshi, son of Pt. Bhimsen Joshi, informed the audience that Pandit Ji had promised Partha Ji that he will be called for Sawai and that he has delivered on his father’s promise today.
Rendition started with Raga Marwa. It was a splendid performance. Audience were spell bound till Pt. Ramdas’s thundering tabla took Centre stage with Sitar fading away for a while, at the end. The second part of the rendition was in Raga Khamaj gat mala followed by 4 bandish.
